The Southwest Sheep Grazing Co-op is looking for a shepherd for the 2023 grazing season.
The roughly 3500 head sheep pasture is located northwest of Tompkins Saskatchewan. Living quarters are provided and eligible candidates will be required to provide their own transportation (quad, side by side, etc) as well as herding dogs. The job requires someone who is physically fit and able to work 7 days a week, starting April 15 until October 15. The shepherds job description includes, but is not limited to: Flock health management; Grazing management; Corral and fence maintenance Correspond with different government agencies; Maintaining a working relationship with pasture patrons; Keeping clear grazing and treatment records.

The Saskatchewan Sheep Development Board will assist the Ministry of Parks, Culture and Sport with finding producers interested in helping them with their Targeted Grazing Program.
