The Canadian Verified Sheep Program (CVSP) outlines Good Production Practices (GPP’s) designed to minimize food safety risks, maximize animal care, and reduce biosecurity risks thereby producing a safe and high-quality food product.

The CVSP training is required to be eligible for the equipment rebate under the Sustainable Canadian Agriculture Partnership(SCAP) Sheep and Goat Animal Health and Biosecurity Producer Program.

Gord Schroeder, Executive director for the Saskatchewan Sheep Development Board, is a certified trainer for the CVSP.
